Clams bound for Jersey…
Hyannis – A crew member aboard the Miss Meagan loads about $700 worth of sea clams onto a truck bound for New Jersey.
Today’s shellfish will be in New Jersey by later tonight. Destined for cans of Campbell’s Soup and other products.
According to crew members, today’s catch wasn’t what it could have been. Just barely 8 full cages, at approximately $600 to $700 a piece, it’s hardly what they’re accustomed to.
Today’s haul was cut short by nearly half a day! Word along the docks was it may have been the rigging. Another expressed frustration with the entire boat.
Other things were muttered, none fit for print…
Better luck next time Miss Meagan. Be safe out there.
