HYANNIS – Barnstable Police are looking for driver who jumped the curb and took out a traffic light pole at the intersection of Barnstable Road and Center Street today at about 1:30 pm.

All lights at the intersection were unable to function properly as the result of the hit and run accident.

Witnessed leaving the scene was a brown or gray colored Toyota Corolla with severe front end damage and a broken windshield. A possible license plate number is Mass. Registration 317 VT5 (which came back to a red Corolla).
