COTUIT – A young child about 7 years old was hurt when two passenger vehicles slammed into one another on Route 28 at the intersection with Stub Toe Road.
At about 4:30PM, Barnstable Police and Cotuit Rescue responded to the scene. A call went out for additional mutual aid ambulances…
A grandmother and her young granddaughter were in one car, both were taken to the hospital.
Two young males from the other vehicle were also taken to the hospital.
The victims were reportedly banged up but their injuries were not considered life-threatening, according to a source at the scene.
Traffic was heavy and considerably backed up in both directions. Police and tow truck drivers hustled to clear up the scene and prevent further delays…
