SATURDAY EVENING UPDATE – 3/3/2018 — STILL WITHOUT POWER? Reminder from the Barnstable Police: Emergency Shelter opened today at 5pm. The shelter is located at the Barnstable Intermediate School on Rt 28, Hyannis.

This is a pet friendly shelter.

WEST YARMOUTH — The following HN Video shows two utility poles and wires down on West Yarmouth Road, near the intersection of Route 28 in West Yarmouth. The roaring wind made it a difficult and hazardous scene to film… These images were shot shortly after the HN truck was disabled due to water in the engine wires. Yarmouth Police Officer Eric Nuss thankfully happened by in his cruiser just when I was “dead in the water,” helping to quickly push HN’s disabled truck off the roadway until everything dried out and could be jump started. Thank you Officer Nuss!
