HYANNIS – Last evening, HN’s dash cam was rolling when a sudden burst of wind, lightening, and heavy rain knocked out power across parts of town.
Route 28 needed to be closed last evening, from the airport rotary to Yarmouth Road, after transformers exploded and primary power lines fell across the road…
Police and firefighters also closed access roads to Route 28, to protect the public from live wires until Eversource Energy crews could arrive on scene and stabilize the situation…
The following dash cam video shows the sudden burst of weather energy that seemed to dissipate as quickly as it arrived. The video shows parts of town completely without power…
