DOWNTOWN DRAMA: Man just out of work goes berserk… believed people...

HN NOTE: Some may find this hard to believe, but what follows happened out in public in downtown Hyannis early this morning.

(By the way, let’s try to show a little more decorum and respect for chrissakes! We have visitors who come here to spend their hard earned money at our local businesses. Smarten up!)

HYANNIS – It was about 1:08 AM this morning when HN spotted an irate man pushing around a woman and her friends. It took a few moments to get the video camera into play, but what follows documents just some of the disturbing downtown drama.

HN eventually spoke with the man after he was able to regain some of his cool. He said – in so many words – he believed a certain group of people had the “audacity” to go near to his “whip,” possibly with the intention of pilfering unspecified quantities of unspecified personal property from said whip…

The female victims of his tantrum were not harmed and emphatically denied the man’s allegations…

… and we will probably never know what was really going on.

In parting, the man – the one who had been a little hot – warned HN he better not see the following footage. Which is exactly one of the main reasons why I decided to show it. People need to realize that these are our public spaces and threatening outbursts will not be tolerated.

HN NOTE: A police officer arrived and asked a couple of woman who were standing by witnessing, but not involved, whether or not they happened to have been involved. One told the officer she was a nurse and that she had stuck around in case anyone was hurt.
