DENNIS – A man suffered a head laceration after his vehicle flew off the roadway into the woods on the eastbound side of Route 6, between Exits 9 & 10 early this morning.

First responders from Dennis, Harwich, and the local detachment of the Massachusetts State Police were alerted and heading toward the scene, expecting the worst… but some units were eventually ordered to stand down after it was learned the driver was not entrapped and his injuries were not life-threatening.

HN arrived shortly after Dennis rescue personnel were committed treating the patient in the breakdown lane, just prior to transporting him to CCH…

The accident is being investigated by the Massachusetts State Police.
