Elderly woman OD’s on heroin… plus one other OD and a police chase…
Hyannis – At 12:43pm Hyannis Rescue requested the Barnstable Police respond to Oak Neck Road to assist with the scene where an elderly female overdosed on heroin.
It’s unsure weather rescue workers administered Narcan but the woman, who appeared to be in her late 60’s or early 70’s, was conscious when Hyannis News arrived.
First responders spoke with a young male and investigated inside the residence while rescue workers attended to the woman inside the abulance.
The woman was eventually transported to Cape Cod Hospital.

Hyannis – Literally just minutes before the above incident, police and rescue responded to 500 Old Colony Road for a young female who had just overdosed on a Class A substance (i.e.. heroin is a ‘Class A’ substance…).
Police and rescue workers met a sick woman who appeared to be in her early 20’s in a restroom inside the apartment building for the elderly…
The young female was transported to CCH.
In other news:
Hyannis – At approximately 8:30pm a Street Crimes Unit engaged in pursuit with a pickup truck that would not stop.
Unmarked and marked patrol units eventually conducted a felony stop in the area of 12 Megan Road.
At least two of the vehicle’s occupants were detained as officers investigated why they wouldn’t stop.
The operater was arrested and transported to BPD Headquarters.
Peter Kohler, a 25-year-old from Marstons Mills, was charged with Failure to Stop for a Police Officer, Negligent Operation of a Motor Vehicle, and Marked Lane Violations…
The Dodge Ram pickup truck was towed from the scene…
