INITIAL HN REPORT:
FALMOUTH – The first police officers on scene reported the home being “fully engulfed.”
Falmouth Firefighters arrived shortly thereafter, at about 5:00 p.m., reporting “heavy fire.” Initial observations revealed no signs of occupants, according to radio transmissions. Neighbors then began telling police that the homeowner was observed on scene just a little while beforehand…
Then the radio came alive with the slightly muffled sound of a firefighter inside the burning structure announcing with all his might through his respirator, “FIRE ALARM WE HAVE ONE VICTIM WE’RE COMING OUT WITH NOW!”
As you will hear in the following HN Video, it was a grave situation to say the least… and the scene was reportedly being investigated hours after the fire had been knocked down.
HN reached out to the Falmouth Fire Department dispatch and was advised that officials were unavailable to comment at the time of this report. [DEVELOPING]
