DA investigating death of 30-year-old woman found unconscious inside Famouth motel room…
[DA’S MEDIA STATEMENT] Cape & Islands District Attorney Michael O’Keefe announced today that on February 8th at approximately 6:40 p.m. Falmouth police responded to 34 Maravista Ave. Ext. for a well-being check at the CapeWind Waterfront Resort after receiving a call from friends of the resident.
Upon arrival police observed an unconscious female lying on the floor. A second individual was observed lying on the bed with obvious injuries to his neck and hand. The female, later identified as Danielle Taylor (DOB 2-1-91) of Mashpee, was transported to Falmouth Hospital where she was later pronounced deceased. The second individual was med-flighted to a hospital in Rhode Island. The two had been in a previous dating relationship.
An autopsy is scheduled for tomorrow morning at the Medical Examiner’s Office in Boston.
The matter remains under investigation by Falmouth Police and Massachusetts State Police detectives assigned to the Cape & Islands District Attorney’s Office.
