Yarmouth Police Arrest Five Runaway Juveniles for House Break
On Monday November 2, 2015 at approximately 9:39AM Yarmouth Police Officers were dispatched to 190 Forest Road in South Yarmouth to assist an employee from the Children’s Action Corp (RFK Center) with several runaways believed to be inside an abandoned and unoccupied house.
Yarmouth Police Department Detective Scott Lundegren, Patrol Officers John Lanata, Jr., Nicholas Giammarco, and Brian Niezgoda; as well as Detective Sergeant Kal Boghdan arrived at the residence and met with an employee from the RFK Center who advised them that several youths had escaped from the RFK Center—located at 137 Run Pond Road in South Yarmouth—late Friday night October 30, 2015, and he believed they were inside the home. Officers determined that the front door was locked but found a broken window in the rear of the house with a white plastic chair under it. Shattered glass was located spread around on the ground underneath the window. Officers made entry into the home and conducted a protective sweep. Officers did not locate any individuals but found evidence that subjects had been recently living and cooking inside the home.
Yarmouth Police Department K9 Officer Mike Kramer and his canine partner Kosmo arrived on scene. Barnstable County Sheriff’s Department Crime Scene Unit Officers Manfredi and Schmeer arrived and conducted Crime Scene Services. K9 Officer Kramer and Kosmo conducted a search of the area and located 5 individuals in a wooded area nearby on Captain Noyes Road who were subsequently placed under arrest and transported to Yarmouth Police Department Headquarters. All five are juveniles were processed and transported to the Barnstable District Juvenile Court for arraignment.
