DENNIS – Old Chatham Road needed to be completely shut down after the first Dennis police officers on scene noticed live wires down in the roadway, according to radio transmissions.

As you will see in the following HN Video, the driver was being transported to CCH right as HN was arriving on scene, sometime around midnight. His injuries were not believed life threatening at the time of his transport, but rescue workers feared they could possibly be serious judging from the force it took to damage his vehicle so heavily.

Power company crews needed to be notified, according to radio transmissions…

It took a while before a tow truck driver could safely remove the vehicle and begin cleaning up the scene.

The Dennis Police are investigating the crash.
