HIGH RISK STOP: Lieutenant rolls up on 3 males sitting in stolen Land Cruiser… [VIDEO]
HYANNIS – A Barnstable Police Lieutenant didn’t know what he had when he went behind the old ‘Hyannis East Elementary School’ (now the Horace Mann Charter School…) to check on three suspicious males sitting in a SUV…
… and things quickly changed when he learned the vehicle was stolen.
All passengers were told to put their hands on the dashboard where he could see them, as backup units came rushing in.
Officers took them out one-by-one, cuffing each suspect and placing them in the backseat of separate cruisers.
HN arrived within minutes and started rolling on video.
As you’ll see and hear in the following video, the Toyota Land Cruiser was confirmed stolen out of Yarmouth.
Two of the males were arrested and charged.
Isaiah Starling, age 18, from Mashpee, was charged with being in possession of a stolen motor vehicle.
The driver, a 17-year-old juvenile, was also charged with being in possession of a stolen motor vehicle, as well as Operating Without a Driver’s License.
The third individual was questioned and not charged.
The following video captures the scene moments after the 3 males where all secured in handcuffs. It also contains actual police radio transmissions from the call.
