HN ADVISORY: Suspicious male approached 11-year-old after she got off school bus… [AUDIO]
HYANNIS – As you will hear in the following audio, Barnstable Police responded to an address on Lincoln Road after a suspicious male approached an 11-year-old girl at about 3:00PM today. The girl was scared but immediately did the right thing; she returned home to where her older sister would keep her safe, called her dad, and then called 911.
Police are looking to speak with a white male with a black beard, who was wearing a red and gray baseball cap, driving a black SUV, possibly a Jeep (was initially described as a black van, but that changed as the investigation unfolded.)
NOTE: HN reached out to several members of the Barnstable Police this afternoon and they had no additional information, other than what you’ll hear in the following audio. The male’s intentions are uncertain and police were looking to have a word… At this time it doesn’t appear that a specific crime was committed, but rather suspicious activity that many would find unsettling. HN is releasing this audio out of an abundance of caution. It’s better to aware of these matters than not…
