“RETURN TO SENDER” : POLICE COME ACROSS ABANDONED MAIL TRUCK [HN PHOTO NOTES]
CENTERVILLE – [HN PHOTO NOTES] – A couple of Barnstable Policemen came across an abandoned U.S. Postal Service truck on the side of Phinney’s Lane at around 9pm last evening. It appeared as though the mail truck had broken down, as it had its hazards on and its hood up. The truck had reportedly been there for at least an hour, and possibly even longer according to various sources. There was reportedly no mail inside, and the driver was nowhere to be found. It was a mystery. Police tried to call the postal service to see what was going on but were unable to raise anyone. The decision was made to tow the postal truck in order to “return to sender,” for lack of driver.
