HN PHOTOS: EMTs assist older gentleman injured in collision between motorized bicycle and SUV…
HYANNIS – [HN PHOTOS NOTES] – First responders rushed to Route 28 in the area of Ridgewood Ave after reports of a crash involving a motorized bicycle and SUV. The driver of the motorized bicycle, an older man, suffered non-life-threatening injuries. He was conscious, alert, and able to communicate with police officers and firefighters. He was transported to Cape Cod Hospital in a Hyannis FD ambulance.
The driver of the SUV remained on scene and cooperated with police. Both her and her passenger were not injured. Her vehicle was towed from the scene.
The Barnstable Police are investigating the cause of the accident. It happened on a poorly illuminated and poorly marked section of roadway that’s under construction.
