HYANNIS – Hyannis Firefighters quickly knocked down a car fire in the impound area of Buckler’s Towing Service on Ridgewood Ave earlier this evening. The fire was believed to have started in the vehicle’s engine compartment. The vehicle had been involved in crash and firefighters had disconnected the battery before it was towed to the impound area… but it’s believed that the battery may have been accidentally left reconnected by an insurance adjuster and that a short in the wiring likely caused today’s fire.
