HYANNIS – Barnstable police were called to the sidewalk outside of a downtown nightclub at about 11:30 p.m. last evening for a report of a male allegedly harassing customers coming and going from the establishment.

Officers spoke with the male and convinced him that he should go elsewhere. The male reluctantly left the area, but was not at all happy with the people who had called the police on him…

About an hour later, at about 12:30 a.m., police needed to go back to the sidewalk outside of the same nightclub after receiving another call about the same male; this time he had returned with a beach chair and a hammer…

(Also, if you listen carefully at the end of the video, while police were dealing with the “hammer guy,” officers from Yarmouth were trying to catch up to a motorcycle which took off from them at speeds reaching over 100 MPH. And because of the reckless speeds, officers quickly broke off any pursuit they may have had going.)
