Cops confront man accused of knife assault “within tent…” [HN VIDEO]
HYANNIS – Barnstable Police took a man into custody and are investigating an allegation that he pulled a knife on a woman in the area of a camp located behind KAM Appliance on Yarmouth Road this afternoon.
As you will see in the following HN Video, police officers confronted the man who was still on scene inside a tent, still in possession of the knife used in the alleged assault.
According to police radio transmissions, the man was highly intoxicated and was taken into protective custody. The man may also be facing charges related to the alleged knife assault.
On a side note, a short time after the male suspect was transported to jail, Hyannis Rescue responded to the KAM Appliance parking lot to evaluate the female victim of the alleged knife assault. She was reportedly experiencing some type of anxiety attack…
WARNING – The following HN Video shows a homeless male suspect who has been living outside in the elements. The images were shot right as a powerful storm with potentially high gusty winds and rain was bearing down on the region. The images expose the extremely harsh – and often violent – realities of what life can be like living on the streets of Hyannis… and therefore the very real footage may be disturbing to some viewers. Viewer discretion is advised.
* All potential suspects are presumed innocent until officially charged and found guilty in a court of law…
