DEVELOPING: Bloody male collapsed in front of Hyannis cafe… claimed he’d just been stabbed… but cops were initially told he may have smashed windows at nearby apartment… [HN VIDEO]
HYANNIS – [DEVELOPING] – A blood covered male collapsed in front of a Main Street cafe last evening after police had been looking for him in connection to a report he had just smashed windows at a nearby apartment.
As you will hear and see in the following HN Video, officers were heading toward an apartment on South Street last evening after receiving reports that a man had just broken “a bunch” of windows there.
As officers were responding to 323 South Street, they were informed the male they were looking for had just showed up in front of Colombo’s Cafe at 544 Main Street, saying he was stabbed by his girlfriend.
Barnstable patrol officers found the male down on the sidewalk bleeding and immediately began administering first aid. Hyannis Rescue arrived soon thereafter and took over first aid, applying pressure and wrapping the male’s lacerations in an effort to stop the bleeding.
The scene in front of Colombo’s on Main Street was cordoned off with crime scene tape. Members of the Barnstable County Sheriff’s Crime Scene Investigation Unit responded to both 323 South Street and the sidewalk in front of 544 Main Street where they documented the scenes with photographs…
The injured male was transported to CCH where the investigation continued… his condition unknown at the time of this report.
The female subject who lives at 323 South Street eventually met with police and returned to her apartment. She did not appear to be injured or have any blood evidence on her person, or inside of her car, according to radio transmissions.
The investigation is ongoing and no further details were available at the time of this report.
