GOOD HUSTLE PAYS OFF: Firefighters arrive quickly to battle flames on first and second floors of Hyannis residence… [HN VIDEO]
HYANNIS – One of the benefits of living in the downtown area is being close to restaurants, beaches, and hard working public service agencies like the Hyannis Fire Department.
Today’s fire was reported around 12:30 p.m. after officials received several calls regarding smoke and fire showing at 70 High School Road, just two short blocks away from the Hyannis Fire station at 95 High School Road. And response time definitely helped firefighters quickly bring today’s fire under control…
According to Captain Greg Dardia of the Hyannis Fire Department his crews were able to quickly stretch two lines, bringing fires on the first and second floors under control in about 20 minutes.
Hustle, proximity, and hard work helped Hyannis Firefighters knock down the flames while ensuring everyone made it out safely.
There had been some plumbing work going on in the building but officials are still investigating the exact cause of the fire.
The following HN Video begins with an on scene interview with Captain Dardia. It then shows firefighters hustling to get the job done…
