HYANNIS – Police and firefighters responded to Route 28 around noon near the Yarmouth town line for a two vehicle collision involving a Honda CRV and Toyota Tundra.
Both vehicles had significant damage and needed to be towed from the scene. The Tundra apparently lost its rear axle…
A 75-year-old female was transported to Cape Cod Hospital with injuries not believed to be life-threatening.
Traffic was slowed in both directions and officers needed to eventually shut down the roadway as crews cleaned up the scene.
