HYANNIS MALE ACCUSED OF AGGRAVATED RAPE OF A CHILD, MULTIPLE COUNTS
BARNSTABLE – On Thursday, January 26, 2023, a complaint and statement of facts was reportedly filed in Barnstable District Court for the alleged rapes of a child. That same day – 1/26/2023 – a warrant was issued and generated at approximately 4:16 p.m. for the arrest of David Hatfield of Hyannis.
Hatfield was arrested and arraigned on Friday, January 27, 2023, in Barnstable District Court on the following felony charges:
– AGGRAVATED RAPE OF A CHILD, TEN YEAR AGE DIFFERENCE… MGL c265 s23A (6 COUNTS)
– SEXUAL CONDUCT WITH A CHILD UNDER AGE 18, PAY FOR… MGL c272 s53A(c) (2 COUNTS)
– INDECENT A&B ON A CHILD… MGL c265 s13B (7 COUNTS)
The presiding judge for Hatfield’s arraignment, the Hon. Dominic J. Paratore, ordered him held in the Barnstable County Correctional Facility on $300,000.00 surety bond or $30,000.00 cash bail. Should Hatfield make bail, Judge Paratore ordered the following conditions:
– That Hatfield be electronically monitored with a GPS device
– That he have no contact with the victim or any witness
– That he remain on home confinement between the hours of 6pm and 6am
– And that he stay away from anyone 16-years-old or younger.
Hatfield is scheduled to appear for a probable cause hearing on February 23, 2023.
