HYANNIS – Multiple squad cars saturated the area of High School Road last evening after a woman alleged someone in a mask had just tried to grab her, according to Barnstable Police radio transmissions. She believed they were attempting to kidnap her, the dispatch continued.

A BPD K9 unit was deployed, searching a nearby homeless camp behind the St. John Paul II High School, with negative results.
The woman did not live on High School Road and police later drove her several blocks away to her home.
