FIVE NEW CAPE COD DEATHS ATTRIBUTED TO COVID-19: Latest Mass. DPH numbers as of April 22, 2020..

HYANNIS, MASSACHUSETTS – There has been a total of 27 Cape Cod deaths reported as of yesterday (up from 22 the day before)… of 221 newly reported deaths statewide… and there are currently 2,182 statewide deaths officially attributed to COVID-19 (up from 1,961 the day before).
The Cape’s confirmed case count is 678 as of yesterday (up from 672 the day before)… and there are 1,745 newly confirmed cases statewide (up from 1,556 the day before). The state now has 42,944 confirmed cases (up from 41,199 the day before).
Cape Cod Hospital has 16 hospitalized COVID-19 patients as of yesterday (down from 27 the day before), with 5 patients reportedly in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) (down from 6 the day before).
Falmouth Hospital has 19 hospitalized COVID-19 patients (same number as the day before), with 6 patients in the ICU (down from 7 the day before).
The Town of Barnstable has recorded 133 cases as of April 22, 2020. The Town of Yarmouth has recorded 52… The Town of Mashpee has recorded 34… The Town of Dennis has recorded 42… The Town of Sandwich has recorded 57… The Town of Falmouth has recorded 110… The Town of Bourne has recorded 99… The Town of Harwich has recorded 30… The Town of Brewster has recorded 64… The Town of Chatham has recorded 8… The Town of Orleans has recorded 11… The Town of Eastham has recorded 7… The Town of Wellfleet has recorded “less than 5…” The Town of Truro has recorded 9… The Town of Provincetown has recorded 18… The Town of Plymouth has recorded 152… all numbers according to the Mass.
