252  NEW STATEWIDE DEATHS REPORTED TODAY ALONE…

HYANNIS, MASSACHUSETTS – There has been a total of 40 Cape Cod deaths attributed to COVID-19 reported as of today (up from 32 recorded on 4/24)… of 252 newly reported deaths statewide… and there are currently 3,405 statewide deaths officially attributed to COVID-19 (up from 2,556 recorded on 4/24). There are currently 1,011 cases in Massachusetts Intensive Care Units (ICUs).

The Cape’s confirmed case count is 842 as of today (up from 747 recorded on 4/24)… and there are 1,963 newly confirmed cases statewide. The state now has 60,265 confirmed cases (up from 50,969 recorded on 4/24).

Cape Cod Hospital has 18 hospitalized COVID-19 patients as of today (up from 14 on 4/24), with 4 patients reportedly in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) (there were also 4 on 4/24).

Falmouth Hospital has 6 hospitalized COVID-19 patients (down from 7 on 4/24), with 2 patients in the ICU (there were also 2 on 4/24).

From the beginning of the crisis, the Town of Barnstable has recorded a total of 187 cases as of April 29, 2020.
