Three transported to CCH after crash closes section of Route 28… [HN PHOTOS]
HYANNIS – At about 5:30 p.m., police and rescue rushed to Route 28 eastbound near the intersection of Warehouse Road for a crash involving three, possibly four vehicles…
There were reports of injuries and additional ambulances were called to the scene. One vehicle was heavily damaged after being crunched between a pickup truck and another vehicle. Eastbound Route 28 traffic needed to be completely closed down at the intersection of Bearses Way as first responders worked the scene.
A total of three ambulances responded, two from Hyannis FD, and the third from Barnstable FD. All three patients were transported to Cape Cod Hospital with injuries described as not being life-threatening, according to Captain Jeffrey Huska of the Hyannis Fire Department. All three patients were also reportedly wearing their seat belts…
The Barnstable Police Department is investigating the cause of the crash.
