HYANNIS – [DEVELOPING] – Shortly after midnight, this morning, Barnstable Police Officers responded to the apartment complex at 979 Falmouth Road for some type of disturbance. A woman in one of the apartments reported there was a male on scene making threats. Upon arrival, officers learned the male had already fled the area on foot. After a brief investigation, officers established there was probable cause for the male’s arrest.

A short while later, police were dispatched to 979 Falmouth Road a second time after a female called reporting the male suspect had returned and was now outside the door to her apartment. While responding, officers were updated that the male was reportedly now trying to get into the woman’s apartment. Responding officers also learned the suspect had at least one outstanding warrant for his arrest, according to radio transmissions.

Upon arrival, officers learned the suspect had once again fled the area on foot. Additional patrol officers saturated the area while other officers searched the immediate area on foot. As you will see in the following HN Video, a patrolman suddenly announced he was in foot pursuit. Other officers joined the chase that was heading back out toward Route 28, in the direction of Centerville.
