HYANNIS, MASSACHUSETTS – At the time of this report, Hyannis remains a hot zone, with a high number of daily NEW cases (greater than 10 per day) in the past 72 hours, according to the Cape Cod Healthcare COVID-19 community alert heatmap…
There has been a total of 47 Cape Cod deaths attributed to COVID-19 reported as of yesterday afternoon (up from 40 recorded on 4/29)… of 158 newly reported deaths statewide yesterday… and there are currently 4,004 statewide deaths officially attributed to COVID-19 (up from 3,405 recorded on 4/29). There are currently 904 cases in Massachusetts Intensive Care Units (ICUs).
The Cape’s confirmed case count is 946 as of today (up over a 100 new cases from 842 recorded on 4/29)… and there were 1,824 newly confirmed cases statewide as of yesterday. The state now has 68,087 confirmed cases (up from 60,265 recorded on 4/29).
Cape Cod Hospital has 14 hospitalized COVID-19 patients as of today (down from 18 on 4/29), with 4 patients reportedly in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) (there were also 4 on 4/29).
Falmouth Hospital has 5 hospitalized COVID-19 patients (down from 6 on 4/29), with 2 patients in the ICU (there were also 2 on 4/29).
