ALLEGATIONS OF “GANG RAPE” INSIDE HYANNIS HOTEL ROOM… [HN VIDEO]
HYANNIS – [DEVELOPING] – Early this morning Barnstable Police responded to a [Hyannis area hotel] on Main Street for reports of an ongoing sexual assault in one of the rooms. Police had responded to the same hotel room earlier in the morning for a fight. It was the victim of the earlier incident that notified police a second time about the ongoing sexual assault on his girlfriend.
When HN arrived, several police cruisers were already in the vicinity, apparently searching for the alleged suspects who had already left the area. After several minutes, HN observed a young adult male walking barefoot, appearing upset. The male approached and I identified myself as the media. He then told me that he and his girlfriend were guests at the [hotel]. Earlier they had met two females who were staying in another room. They did not know the two females but after a period of time they all became friendly and were invited back to the two females’ room to hang out.
According to the boyfriend – who said he was still scared and shaking from what had just occurred – several (“three to four”) unknown males also made their way into the room of their new friends, the two females. While his girlfriend – said to be 25-years-old – was in the bathroom, a couple of the recently arrived males allegedly began making aggressive sexual advances toward her. It’s still unclear, but at some point the boyfriend said he left the room… but according to him, he later learned that his girlfriend was actually sexually assaulted, held down and “gang raped.”
According to the boyfriend, the three to four males had already fled the area prior to police arriving on scene. A couple of the males were described as having dreadlocks and appeared to be in their early twenties, according to the boyfriend.
According to radio transmissions, it is believed the males fled the area in a taxi cab to the area of Fresh Holes Road, before fleeing that area on foot.
Hyannis Rescue responded and took the 25-year-old female victim to Cape Cod Hospital.
Police were still working the case at the time of this report – 6:50 a.m.. Earlier they had brought in a member of the Barnstable County Sheriff’s Crime Scene Unit for photos and evidence collection. A Barnstable Police Detective was also notified.
Police on scene have not officially released any details other than what you’ll hear in radio transmissions in the following HN Video… [DEVELOPING – NO FURTHER INFORMATION AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME]
