HYANNIS – (Tuesday, 3/23/21 @ about 7pm) – The driver of this scooter was reportedly driving aggressively on Rte. 28 when he tried to pass the truck from behind… and then there was a collision and somehow the scooter became stuck underneath the pickup truck. The scooter driver then reportedly yelled at the other driver to get her truck off of his scooter. When the scooter driver saw that wasn’t going to happen, he took off running toward Hinckley Road before police arrived on scene. Despite the all the drama and destruction, there were apparently no injuries. The Barnstable Police Department is investigating and still trying to locate the male scooter driver.

A Buckler’s tow truck responded to lift the truck off of the scooter. The scooter bore the brunt of the damage, needing to be towed from the scene. The driver of the truck and her passenger were able to get back inside their pickup and carry on with the remainder of their day…

Additional HN Note: the young male scooter driver was wearing a helmet… but still no word on whether he was wearing a mask… [DEVELOPING!]
