BREAKING: Twelve-year-old girl struck by Town of Barnstable dump truck… [HN PHOTOS]
HYANNIS – A 12-year-old girl was taken to Cape Cod Hospital after being struck by a Town of Barnstable dump truck this morning. The truck vs. pedestrian accident happened at the intersection of West Main Street and Lincoln Road at around 8:09 a.m.. The child was conscious and alert upon transport to CCH and her injuries are not believed to be life threatening at the time of this report. According to Lieutenant Pete Nagorka of the Hyannis Fire Department, the child suffered injuries to her lower extremities. The sheriff’s crime scene unit assisted members of the Barnstable Police traffic division with the investigation. No further details were available at the time of this report.
