HYANNIS – HN spoke with Laurie who had just returned from grabbing a bite to eat to find that her laundry somehow ignited inside one of the coin-operated dryers at the Airport Laundromat inside of the TJ Maxx Shopping Plaza…
HN arrived shortly before 10:00 p.m., moments prior to police and firefighters, and began rolling on what appeared to be a dryer fire.
Watch as Barnstable Police and Hyannis Firefighters work the scene, with firefighters quickly stopping the fire and ultimately saving the building from further damage.
There were no reported injuries…
… but Laurie lost a load of laundry, telling HN it had been “burnt to a crisp!”
