PEDESTRIAN STRUCK – CHIPS WENT FLYING – DRIVER FLED SCENE! [HN PHOTO]
HYANNIS – A Hyannis man is feeling fortunate he wasn’t seriously injured, but he wasn’t thrilled the person driving a newer model gray SUV fled the scene.
The car vs. pedestrian crash happened on West Main Street in front of Hyannis Honda this evening around 7:00 p.m..
The first Barnstable Police Officer on scene expressed that he was very relieved the struck pedestrian was up walking around, surprisingly with a smile on his face!
The man was banged up and evaluated by Hyannis FD Rescue, but didn’t need to be transported to hospital.
HN spoke with the victim who was upset that he lost half of his Cool Ranch Doritos in addition to the driver not stopping.
The Barnstable Police Officer in charge of the investigation is looking into leads…
