HYANNIS PORT – As you will see in the following HN Video, at about 4:50 p.m., Hyannis Rescue scrambled one of their marine units, with another on standby, after receiving a report of two kiteboarders in the water. Both were said to not be wearing vests, according to radio traffic. Responding units were uncertain if the kiteboarders were in distress or not.
After launching a boat, firefighters were able to quickly check and determined that all boarders were not in distress and in no need of medical attention. The wind reportedly had suddenly died down, causing the kites fall, landing the boarders in the water…
