COPS SEIZE TWO KEYS OF COKE DURING HYANNIS TRAFFIC STOP
YARMOUTH – According to a Yarmouth Police Department media statement, on Wednesday, April 20, 2022 at about 1:45 p.m., cops from Yarmouth PD, Barnstable PD, and the Drug Enforcement Administration conducted a motor vehicle stop on Route 132 in Hyannis.
The vehicle was occupied by Elmer Fajardo, age 26, of Fresh Holes Road in Hyannis, and Adelfo Ortiz, age 33, of Hiramar Road in Hyannis.
During the traffic stop, officers reportedly located about two kilograms of cocaine.
The investigation resulted in both males being arrested and transported back to Yarmouth Police Headquarters for processing. Fajardo is being charged with Trafficking in 200 Grams or More of Cocaine, Conspiracy to Violate Drug Law, Failure to Stop for Police, and Speeding. Ortiz is being charged with Trafficking in 200 Grams or More of Cocaine and Conspiracy to Violate Drug Law.
According to their media statement, the investigation into the drug seizure is ongoing and the Yarmouth Police Department urges anyone with any information related to this incident or other crimes to contact them at 508-775-0445.
