ICED-IN: Ferries and fishing vessels cancel trips due to frozen harbor… [HD VIDEO, near 0 degrees!]

HYANNIS – Hy-Line Cruises canceled their ferry service to Nantucket today due to unusual ice conditions in the inner and outer harbors leading out to Nantucket Sound…
The captain of the Lady Dee, a fishing boat out of Provincetown, also reports he is delaying his trip due to the ice conditions. He also reports it’s not as bad once past the jetties and into the more open waters of Nantucket Sound. He’s waiting it out for the time being, using the “down” time to repair equipment up on the mast…
Another fishing vessel reportedly had a difficult time slowly chopping through the inner and outer harbor earlier this morning… especially approaching Lewis Bay…
The following video was taken at around 8am and highlights the ice conditions in both the inner harbor, as well as the Lewis Bay outer harbor… [Press play… select HD in the settings and enlarge player for best quality…]
