SANDWICH – As you will see in the following HN Video, a man was hurt, all alone, in the dark while behind the wheel of his Mercedes, the rear end of the vehicle already heavily damaged and still sticking out into the eastbound travel lane of Route 6, just past Exit 4…

Shortly after 1:00AM last evening, HN arrived on scene to find a state trooper had already positioned his cruiser and flares in an effort to protect the older gentleman who was still seat-belted and advised to remain still…

A white box truck, which had apparently collided with the Mercedes, was pulled over into the breakdown lane a ways up the road…

Debris from the collision was scattered across both travel lanes and presenting a hazard for passing vehicles…

Rescue arrived after a brief wait, attending to the victim, explaining what they needed to do in order to safely transport him to Cape Cod Hospital…

The Massachusetts State Police are investigating the crash…
