OFFICIAL UPDATE from Falmouth Police Facebook page: Pickup crashes into house, driver arrested- A 57-year-old Plymouth man was arrested for drunk driving after his pickup crashed into a traffic light and a home on Jones Rd (#261/265). Thursday evening. He believed he was “either in Carver or Wareham”. There were no injuries and the female tenant stayed at a friend’s house for the night.

“There was one person inside the building who was asleep at the time of the crash; that person was allowed to stay in the building once power was secured and the building department verified it was safe,” a fire official reportedly told the Cape Cod Times earlier Friday…

FALMOUTH – [DEVELOPING] – It was kind of a nippy night – some of the most uncomfortable conditions imaginable actually – to have a truck suddenly crash through the front of your house…
… but that’s exactly what happened at 265 Jones Road late last evening.
A woman was reportedly inside sleeping and was awakened by the crash, according to sources at the scene.
Official details have not been released yet and the condition of the driver is uncertain at the time of this report. The man who was inside the home was not injured…
A Falmouth Building Inspector reportedly responded to the scene.
HN will provide official details as soon as they become available. The Falmouth Police Department is investigating the crash.
