Two patients taken to off-Cape trauma center after Jeep lands on roof, closes down Route 28 in Marstons Mills… [HN VIDEO]
MARSTONS MILLS – The two vehicle crash happened shortly after 6:00 p.m. with initial reports of passengers still inside of a Jeep that landed on its roof.
According to a Centerville-Osterville-Marstons Mills FD media statement: “COMM FD received a call for a motor vehicle crash with one vehicle on its roof. Ambulance 326 and the Barnstable PD arrived on location to find two vehicles with extensive damage and one vehicle in the roadway on its roof. Car 321 and Engine 306 arrived on location. A second COMM ambulance was requested to the scene. Route 28 was shut down for approximately 30 minutes. Both COMM ambulances transported the patients to South Shore Hospital in Weymouth. An off-duty Hyannis fire lieutenant and a Coastal ambulance were first on scene and rendered care.”
The Barnstable Police Department is investigating the cause of the crash with the assistance of the Barnstable County Sheriff’s Crime Scene Investigation Unit, who were called to the scene to take photos.
