MARSTONS MILLS – Shortly after 4pm firefighters and police rushed to 24 Flume Ave after a report of a structure fire where a woman in wheelchair was initially having trouble getting out of the house, according to radio transmissions. Shortly after the initial call, first responders were relieved to learn that everyone had evacuated safely after all.
Firefighters quickly knocked down the fire but needed to ensure that there was no extension.
One person was evaluated on scene as a precaution but did not need further treatment. According to Chief Michael Winn of the COMM Fire Department, all people and pets evacuated safely and their were no injuries. His firefighters were also unharmed. (There will likely be a press release according to the Chief Winn and HN will update this story as soon as more details are available.)
