MASHPEE – [DEVELOPING] – When officers arrived on scene, they found a Chevy Suburban completely trashed with all the windows smashed out and the tires slashed.
As you will hear in the following HN Video, sometime around 1:30 a.m. this morning, Mashpee Police Officers responded to an address on Somerset Road after a resident called reporting she heard banging outside, and when she went to check she found a vandalized SUV with tires slashed and windows smashed out… glass all over the ground…
Mashpee Officers called in a member of the Sheriff’s Crime Scene Investigation Unit to take photos and dust for prints. A BOLO was put out for a person that officers wanted to have a word with.
As HN was processing the video and photos, a possible connection was made between the completely trashed Suburban on Somerset Road and a recent photo delivered confidentially to HN regarding a Chevy Suburban possibly involved in last Wednesday’s stabbing – 7/15/2020 – in West Dennis. They definitely appear as if they could be the same vehicle. I’ve included the images received confidentially from a person/source who had been following the West Dennis stabbing story. The images were recently downloaded from the personal Facebook page of a person of interest. (HN NOTE: The subject related to the following images has not been charged with a crime and it’s unknown if he was actually involved in the stabbing or not… but his name comes up on police radio transmissions at both crime scenes. Also note, all individuals are presumed to be innocent until charged with a crime and found guilty in a court of law…)
The Mashpee Police Department’s investigation into this morning’s malicious destruction call is active and ongoing. The following HN Video highlights this morning’s scene… (also note, as of the time of this report, there have been no official updates regarding last week’s stabbing in West Dennis…) HN will provide official updates to both stories as soon as they become available. [DEVELOPING]
* Again, please note all individuals are presumed to be innocent until charged with a crime and found guilty in a court of law…
