MASHPEE – Shortly after midnight last evening, Mashpee police and firefighters responded to a report of a single vehicle rollover on Sandwich Road at the intersection of Lakeview Drive. The sole occupant, a female, was evaluated on scene and declined further treatment. The driver was then transported to the Mashpee fire station to wait for someone to pick her up, according to radio transmissions.

Sandwich Road needed to be completely closed down for a period of time as officials worked the scene.

The Mashpee Police Department is investigating the cause of the crash.
