Midweek Christmas party, two flat tires… and an OUI…

WEST BARNSTABLE – It’s the time of year when the “amateur” drunk drivers take to the streets… and when Christmas parties bring out criminal behaviors in those not typically classified as the “usual suspects.”
At approximately 2:07AM this morning, a Barnstable Patrolman noticed a vehicle with two heavily damaged flat tires in the Burger King parking lot on Route 132.
Upon further investigation, he learned the driver had been celebrating at a Christmas party earlier in the evening. He also suspected her of being intoxicated.
As you will see in the following video, an officer conducted field sobriety testing and subsequently placed the driver under arrest.
Jenna Winslow, age 29, of Sandwich, was charged with Operating Under the Influence of alcohol, along with Negligent Operation of a Motor Vehicle.

HN REMINDER: Drunk driving is serious life-threatening crime.
Please be advised that HN will be out documenting crime and accident scenes this Christmas season. Due to time constraints, HN doesn’t typically cover drunk driving arrests. But having said that, during the remainder of this holiday season, HN will be dedicating extra time and effort to covering more OUI crime scenes.
Please don’t drink and drive… and please, by all means, have a safe and splendiferous Christmas and Holiday Season!
