MYSTERIOUS TRAUMA: 36-year-old dropped off with priority one head and face injury… nobody knows how it happened… patient airlifted… Harwich police investigating… [HN VIDEO]
NORTH HARWICH – According to Sergeant Aram Goshgarian of the HPD, the patient was dropped off by coworkers…
… and as you will see and hear in the following HN Video, at about 8:44PM last evening, police and rescue responded to 194 Main St. for what was initially described as a “priority two” head injury but actually turned out to be much worse.
As you will hear, police were not called initially but an alert patrolman picked up on the fire department’s radio chatter and also responded to assist.
A 36-year-old male had what was described as a “significant head and face injury,” with severe bleeding, and was in priority one condition.
Nobody witnessed what happened, according to radio transmissions…
… at the time of this report, police are still baffled about what had actually occurred. The first patrolman on scene immediately inquired about an on-call detective, also requesting spray paint to the scene.
A crime scene photographer was also requested to respond 194 Main Street, as well to two other addresses in Dennis.
The scene was suspicious to say the least… and due to the severity of the man’s injuries, police were not taking any chances right from the start… it had to be handled as a crime scene… but police have not yet officially released whether or not they are actually investigating a specific crime.
At the time of this report, it’s safe to say the unidentified man suffered very serious and mysterious trauma. One source described it as possibly some type of assault… but that has not been officially released nor confirmed.
The following HN video combines video of the airlift scene mixed in with key police and firefighter emergency transmissions from earlier in the call.
