On Friday evening – 2/9/2024 – shortly before 9:00 p.m., Barnstable police patrol officers discovered a two-vehicle collision after hearing a loud crash in the downtown area. First responders, including two ambulances, responded to the intersection of Main Street and High School Road for an accident with injuries.
Main Street was completely closed down as officials worked the scene.
The adult female occupant of a vehicle with moderate to heavy damage was transported to Cape Cod Hospital with injuries not believed to be life-threatening.
The occupants of a second vehicle were evaluated on scene but were not expected to be transported at the time of the initial report.
