NINE DEGREES & LOCKED OUT: Elderly woman saved from freezing cold after neighbor hears “help me, help me” from somewhere outside… [HN VIDEO]
YARMOUTH PORT – An elderly woman was saved from freezing to death after a neighbor heard strange calls for help coming from outside her home…
As you will see and hear in the following HN Video, a short time prior to 2:00 a.m. this morning, police investigated a report of what sounded like a “male” in distress, yelling “help me, help me,” somewhere on Clinton Ave.
It was 9 degrees outside at the time of the call.
An officer quickly arrived on Clinton Ave and found an elderly woman down on someone’s front yard. She told the officer she was locked out of her nearby home. Her speech was slurred and she was very likely suffering from hypothermia.
Officers immediately called for rescue while covering her with a yellow emergency blanket.
Yarmouth Rescue arrived and carefully lifted her onto a stretcher. She was transported to CCH and her condition is unknown at the time of this report.
