Author's note: Hyannis News had observed an anecdotal decline in heroin overdoses recently. Also, over the past month, narcotics detectives have made several significant heroin busts which may be responsible for the recent decline in overdoses.
Today however, within the past 24 hours, Hyannis News has observed at least three near-fatal overdoses within the Town of Barnstable alone... Is there a sudden resurgence in heroin overdoses, and if so, why?
Hyannis News will be checking with BPD crime statistics analysts to see if there are any significant new trends. Please stay tuned for updates...
