*** OLD HN FOOTAGE / NEW INFO *** TROOPER SHOT, SUSPECT KILLED IN SHOOTOUT WITH MARSHALS, WOMAN INDICTED OVER TWO YEARS LATER
HN NOTES:
Shortly over two weeks ago, the District Attorney’s office put out a media statement regarding this particular shooting of a rookie Massachusetts State Trooper. Because of some “mix up,” HN did not receive the new statement then. I was going to let it go… but then realized I had to face this particular story, cover it, and put it behind me, again.
So, here’s the DA’s latest media statement regarding a new indictment in the case:
“Cape & Islands District Attorney Robert J. Galibois announced today that on March 17, 2023, a grand jury indicted Kemorine Brown, DOB of 10/18/1978, for her role relating to the November 20, 2020 shooting of a Massachusetts State Police Trooper.
Specifically, Kemorine Brown was indicted on charges of accessory after the fact and intimidation of a witness.
Massachusetts State Police Detectives Unit investigated the case. The defendant will be arraigned in Barnstable Superior Court in the near future. Assistant District Attorney Coleen Duarte will be prosecuting the case.”
The man who shot Trooper John Lennon on November 20, 2020, was identified as Andre K. Sterling, age 35. Sterling was shot and killed in a shootout with U.S. Marshals in the Bronx, NY, about two weeks later. Two deputy marshals were shot during the confrontation. Both marshals were treated in hospital and expected to recover…
I haven’t seen Trooper Lennon since the evening he was shot, and I hope he’s doing well, wherever he is…
…………………….
Because of its intensity, the following HN footage from the night of the shooting is an example of one of those videos that’s difficult to revisit:
