Osterville Man Arrested in Major Fentanyl Distribution, Cocaine Trafficking Bust
OSTERVILLE, MASSACHUSETTS – [Based on a Barnstable PD media statement] – An Osterville resident has been arrested following a multi-month investigation into his alleged role as a key supplier of fentanyl and cocaine across Barnstable and neighboring communities.
Eric Brando, 33, of Osterville, was taken into custody on October 30, 2025, by the Barnstable Police Department Detective Unit. The arrest involved collaboration with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Cape Cod Resident Office, the Cape Cod Regional Law Enforcement Council SWAT Team, and K-9 units from the Yarmouth, Mashpee, and Sandwich Police Departments.
Following the arrest, search warrants were executed at locations in Osterville and Mashpee, resulting in the seizure of a large quantity of cocaine and U.S. currency.
Brando was booked at the Barnstable Police Department and charged with Distribution of a Class A Substance (Fentanyl) and Trafficking Cocaine in an amount of 36 grams or more but less than 100 grams.
He was arraigned on October 31, 2025, in Barnstable District Court, where he was ordered held without bail pending a dangerousness hearing scheduled for November 7, 2025. The case is being prosecuted by the Cape & Islands District Attorney’s Office.
The investigation highlights ongoing efforts by law enforcement to combat the distribution of dangerous opioids and narcotics in the region.
